NM Beaver Summit
A broader understanding of beavers’ role in ecosystems has encouraged landowners and land managers to embrace the role that beavers play as ecosystem engineers. Despite this new appreciation, many watersheds in New Mexico remain devoid of this native species. Beavers can help us protect and preserve water in the Taos valley and the Rio Fernando Watershed.
