Amigos Bravos will host a public water quality monitoring training on Sept. 14 at 5:30pm in the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative boardroom. Community members who attend this free training will be equipped to use basic water sampling equipment to measure pH, temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and flow rate.
Trained volunteers can then assist in the next two years of water quality sampling on the Rio Fernando that will be used to create a Watershed Based Plan for this impaired river.
